On Remembrance Sunday, a BUP delegation including Cllr John Jo Leckie (above left) and party Nominating Officer Gus Ferguson (above right) was present at the official North Lanarkshire Council Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in the Duchess of Hamilton Park in Motherwell. Along with representatives of the other political parties, ex-service associations, the emergency services, local dignitaries, churches and other organisations, Gus laid a wreath on behalf of the party to commemorate those who died in the two World Wars and other conflicts. Earlier in the day John Jo had laid a wreath at Shotts war memorial in his ward.
